Tiny Tale 1

I pushed the door of an ‘available’ bathroom stall a little. It got blocked by someone inside . “Im really sorry”, i blurted ashamed, closing the door. In 2 seconds a heard a gunshot outside the window and the stall door got wide opened-with no one inside.
My reaction time of running out was 1 sec

Love is like

I have always been average with poetry but going through my school notebook i came across few lines written on love .

Love is…the struggle of  trying to hold a shooting star.

Dreaming , Dreaming, Dreaming and time is no bar.

Love is..clasping a hot mug on a cold winter night, warming your inner even you don’t know why.

Love is finding a reason for everything i do, roaming the earth and coming back to you.

Love is..the craziness to jump off a cliff just because i get to hold you tight, falling on my knees and losing all my might.

Love is looking for a pair of eyes in a room full of crowd, see them looking back the jitters settle down.

Love is finding stupid reasons to cry and millions reasons to smile.<3″

The Big City Ache

Getting back  from work rushing  towards my apartment lift  I found an old grandfather hushing  his two granddaughters aged 5 and 8 in the lift. They were in their bath robes. It was not  tough to guess that they were coming from an evening swim in the common pool. Me and my colleague smiled at the girls. I was pardoned but my male colleague was given a ‘mind your own business’ stare.

As the lift started escalating,  here is the conversation between the scolding grandpa and the girls.generation-gaps1

Grandpa: “ Ye baniyaan pehan ke matt nahaya karo, sab dekhte hain. Ye poore kapde pehna karo.” pointing to the bath robe (Don’t wear  and swim in such scanty clothes, people stare, wear these robes).

Girl,8: “Daddu ye to bath robe hai smimming ke baad pehante hain.”, squeezing her swim cap.(But it’s a bath robe to be worn post swimming.)

Girl, 5: (giggling and making fun of him): “Daadu isse daal ke swimming nai karte, costume pehnte hain.” (We swim wearing this costume not the  robe!)

Grandpa( shaking his head irritated): “Mumi se puch ke sahi kapde pehna”. (Ask your mother to give you the right clothes)

Girl, 8(Rolling her eyes, disinterested): “Ye mumi ne hi leke dia hai”(Mum bought them.)

Standing in front of him, I looked at his clothes. He looked out of place-not from this concrete jungle but yes a land of green fields, open sky, swaying crops and stay at home women.

Looking  first at me and then at his granddaughters he zoned out thinking ,if sending his son to the big city to study was a great idea at all?

Red Hot Passion!

So I was roaming about in a local mall post watching a movie . I saw a book seller selling some posters. My roommate is a huge fan of Avengers so I thought, ”Lets buy her a poster”. As I browsed through the stack of 100 something posters on One Direction,Budha,GOT,Messi, Sherlock , more One Direction my eyes stopped at a poster of a ballerina . Now that’s unlike me .Im not a girly like girl but something in that Poster girl fixated me towards her. I bought her home (Oh forget about the avengers poster, will you!).

I stick her up on my cupboard with a surgical tape(My landlady wouldn’t have liked me nailing her). I sat down cross legged looking at her, figuring out what’s so captivating in her? Is it the Hell Like background? Is it the Near perfect figure? Is it the up to mark ballet finesse?

After an epiphany moment I realized it  wasn’t any of these. It was the red hot passion emancipating from the poster. The passion the poster girl had for ballet which reflected in her eyes, in her technique, in her being one with the surroundings. That is what fixated me. Well I don’t know if you guys out there know but being passionate for something is a total turn on!

Psychology defines passion as follows: Passion is defined as a strong inclination toward a self-defining activity that people like (or even love), find important, and in which they invest time and energy on a regular basis. For me it means commitment, it means not sleeping till the goal is reached, it means giving a sister emotion to  the co-twins ‘ambition’ and ‘doing what you like’. Unfortunately this is something a lot of people  these days struck in the corporate rat race are looking for-struggling to find what they are passionate about-following it.

Your passion can be as complex as “being an Astronaut”  or  as soul-nourishing as keeping your family happy-no judgments. Certainly the heat, the glow of passion, the sweet fruit at the end is all worth that hard work .So take out some time reflecting back on life trying to find your passion and wake up every morning, working your ass off for it.
